Results of the III International Forum of Brewers and Restaurateurs

On April 6, successful brewers, restaurateurs and representatives of well-known companies producing equipment and ingredients for brewing met in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. The main topic of the III International Forum of Brewers and Restaurateurs - "Brewery as a successful business. New trends in craft brewing. " Opening the event, the main organizer Ekaterina Koneva noted that each subsequent Forum attracts more and more participants.

In the end, not everyone even had enough chairs in the hall, and the exhibition has significantly expanded compared to last year. The International Forum of Brewers and Restaurateurs has become an ideal platform for communication between readers and partners of the "Technology and Innovation" project.

The organizers of the Forum are the international information and publishing project "Technology and Innovation" and the specialized magazine "Beer. Technologies and Innovations ”gathered more than 200 participants from different parts of Ukraine, as well as Belgium, Austria, Germany, Slovakia and Russia. Brewers had the opportunity to communicate and, of course, try beer from the best producers in Ukraine. The event was attended by a variety of people - owners of pubs and beer shops, breweries, large and small restaurants, craft and home brewers. Each of them had their own path to success, and all generously shared their experiences both from the podium and in personal communication. This is the uniqueness of the Forum: the free exchange of living knowledge applicable in practice. Here you can get first-hand information about the most pressing problems and challenges of the beer industry - technical, legal, marketing.

Sergey Kovalenko (director of the Altbir family of restaurants, Kharkiv):
- We are very pleased that we came and talked to colleagues. Personally, I was most interested in the round table of brewers at the beginning of the Forum and our section of restaurateurs, where we exchanged business experiences. If we talk about the shortcomings, then, in my opinion, the program is still overloaded. You know my approach to brewing: it's first and foremost a show, fun, joy!

Here, to my taste, there was too much academicism. For example, the details of working with different types of raw materials are interesting only to technologists who already know enough and can do without literacy. But in general, of course, the Forum succeeded. I especially want to mention the excellent organization.
